Challenge #3 Ribbons, Adhesives and Pop Dots Oh My!!

Sorry for the late post. Hopefully by now you have gotten through the brad and embellishments. As I am writing this I have spent my whole day with my wonderful oldest daughter Melissa and Michael's girlfriend Callie....moving my scrapbook book room to the main floor so that Mason can have his bedroom back. To do this I had to move our living room to the family room and turn the office around.  Ugh... Now I just have piles of stuff to organize, but I am going to start with my Ribbons, Adhesives and Pop Dots.  I am sure it will be marvelous when I finally find room for everything.

How are your challenges coming? Are you keeping up? Just keep plugging away at it even if it is only 15 minutes a day!  Until then, let me hear from you and tell me how your coming.  Let me in on some of your ideas and accomplishments.  Until then....chao!

Julie J's Challenge #3..See Below for her narrative on her Challenge 2 & 3.  Thanks for sharing Julie!  You go girl!!

  1. I've had a heck of a time posting on your blog lately - I have to go thru that process of typing my name, leaving URL blank, and clicking the post several times. Today, I can't get it to work at all. Sorry.

Oooooooooooooh, bad words, bad words, bad words!!!! I just typed my entire comments (and yes, I babbled on and on and on) and clicked the preview button and it ALL disappeared, so here I go again (good thing I took today off) to say it all over again!!! Why do I ramble so?
(Deep breath) - Okay, pop dots are (again) just stored in a plastic Stampin' Up case and kept in my "Screw It & Glue It" bag. I have a bag (from Michael's - 40% off) that has lots of outside pockets and inside compartments. It holds my taper runners, refills, glue sticks, liquid glue, adhesive tabs, Xyron, glue pens, 2-way glue, spray adhesive, glue dots, etc., etc.
Ribbon - since the goal these last couple years has been to become mobile (who knew retreats were soooooo much fun and I would make wonderful, lifelong friends!), my Stampin' Up grossgrain ribbon is in a Ziploc container and stored in my 31 square tote (along with thickers and then 7 other plastic continers containerizing buttons, chips, bling, string, Cricut critters, etc.).
The rest of my ribbon is stored and toted in the blue flowered bag from ShopKo luggage Dept. It was 40% off that day, but I got it for free - along with 2 other suitcase totes. I told the clerk THREE times to charge me and he didn't - decided it wasn't my fault ShopKo hired a stupid clerk, so wasn't about to insist he charge me for a 4th time! In the bottom of this bag, is my container of brads/snaps/eyelets from challenge #2. On top of that, I have 4 containers of my ribbon which is sorted by color. I have taken them off the cardboard rolls and rolled them up using the eraser end of a pencil to save more room. Easy Peasy - although it took a bit of time at first, but what else to do some weekend day when there's a blizzard outside! :-) Again, they are stored in these containers and bags in my craft room too, so no packing and unpacking for retreats - just grab 'n goal - that's been the goal and now I'm fashionable too (my first retreat, I carried things in in cardboard boxes - talk about the embarassed country bumpkin!) Now I'm cool and hip - LOL!!!!!
I have sent Kathy pictures of the last 2 challenges to post in her leisure time....let's see.....she works full-time, it's peak of harvest season, she throws down a huge supper for her hardworking men each night, she's gone completely mad and emptied out her craft room along with rearranging 3 other rooms in her house.....why is the top adjective describing all my good friends crazy?????? LOL!!!!!
Okay, if this comment disappears like the last one, you will hear a blood curdling scream (and bad, bad words) coming all the way from MN to IA!!!!!

  2. Julie...I have been having some trouble with the blog too and did a little research. I changed my browser to Google Chrome just when I use this blog and haven't had a bit of trouble since. Try Google Chrome when you want to post and see if it goes any better!

  4. Oh yeah, I LOVE to ramble - you noticed huh? LOL! Say, I need to ask you girls to keep Mary Coleman in your prayers. She is in the hospital. She's been having chest pain - you know, she was to have heart ablation the day Brenna, her daughter, had her surgery. Her atrial fibrillation stopped, but she's been having chest pain now. She's at SMH in the observation unit - they will decide if they do an angiogram tomorrow to see if she has blockage. I'll keep you posted, but please keep her in your prayers. Brenna is suppose to stay overnight at home this Sat and then come home the following Thursday - they'll just have to wait and see what happens.
